Regret is the target emotion.
And thoughts create the commotion.
I used to exaggerate even more
And I judged myself to the core.

I say words I think about
Until I have burned out.
For thinking had made me sore
And I judged myself to the core.

Can I ever see things the same
After having seen it with blame?
All those opportunities my old self-tore
And I judged myself to the core.

It's not so bad as it used to be
Maybe it came from my thoughts and me?
I wish I knew why, from my self at one-four
When I used to judge myself to the core
