Principal's Message

Welcome to Payson Center for Success
High School (PCS) and/or PCS- Online High School!

PCS is committed to providing a supportive, positive, challenging, and academic learning environment for all students. Our goal is to have all students succeed in earning their high school diploma and creating post secondary goals based on their personal attributes and potential. As a collective staff we promise to provide learning activities which require high levels of critical thinking and reasoning, accompanied by the application of learning to real-world situations. At PCS one will find that reading and writing skills are essential in all content areas for adequate success.

PCS services a diverse student population just as in any other high school learning environment. Students choose to attend PCS for many reasons which may include but are not limited to the following; accelerated learning, credit deficiency, returning back to high school after dropping out, learning disabled, 504 accommodation needs, behavioral and/or emotional needs, gifted needs, need for a modified school day, and/or students with dependents. All students who attend PCS are a crucial part in creating his/her unique education plan specific to his/her needs, goals and aspirations.

Our teachers are here to provide continuous support through direct instruction, tutorials, and one-on-one instruction to aid students in their academic success. Each staff member at PCS is an experienced and dedicated professional who is committed to helping ALL students reach their full potential.

Being able to support and provide the atmosphere conducive to a student's success is one celebrating factor with the true celebration being alongside to witness a student finding the success within him/herself.
Student success is not a matter of luck but is accomplished through planning, organization, goal setting, effort, determination, and a positive support system at school and outside of school.

I look forward to another successful school year and believe that communication in many forms is the best way to create strong relationships between student/staff/parent/guardian. Please, ask questions, share your thoughts, and provide feedback as this is the means to make the year the best that it can be for your son/daughter and your family as a whole.

Sincerely,
Linda Gibson, Principal
